Trex RainEscape Under-Decking allows you to maximize your outdoor space. This impressive under-decking system is installed under the decking boards, with a seamless ceiling appearance underneath. For multi-tiered decks or balconies over entrances, patios or pool decks, RainEscape is the perfect solution for clean, finished outdoor living areas.

What It Is

The Trex RainEscape system is a unique deck drainage system that is made up of tough rugged plastic with ultraviolet inhibitors that guide the water into gutters and away from your outdoor living area.

The hard plastic downspouts that the RainEscape troughs fit into sit directly on the deck’s substructure. Added during the construction of the deck, RainEscape is cost effective and extremely low maintenance.

Trex caulk invisibly seals under flashing and along the beams and joist. The troughs and downspouts are covered with tape to waterproof the joists and uniformly protect the structure.

Finally, rain and melting snow run between the deck boards into the RainEscape system and are diverted away into a gutter.

How It Works

1.

The Trex RainEscape system is laid over the wooden substructure of your deck. The tough rugged plastic forms a series of gutters and troughs to divert water away, while protecting the substructure entirely.

2.

Decking boards are laid overtop of the RainEscape system, completely concealing the under-decking.

3.

Underneath, the watertight substructure can now host electricity and finished materials like ceiling boards.

4.

The finished RainEscape project is waterproof, and protected from the sun. Easily make the area below a screen porch, or add lights to the ceiling for a sophisticated glow.
